Getting Priorities in Order
So we all spent 15 minute huddled in our laundry room during a tornado warning. I grabbed all of our collective external backup drives, some pillows, a mattress - the wife grabbed the kids; nothing brings a family together like severe weather. Growing up in Florida and spending five years in Nebraska (yeah - joined the Air Force to see the world and they started me at the wrong end) gives me a bit of respect for severe weather.
Mitchell slept through the whole thing. Definitely my kid!
As we reassembled our backup drives, redistributed the kids, blankets, and pillows, and relaxed a bit we realized how behind my wife and I had gotten on our blogging, emailing, and communication with the outside world in general. She’s been taking some great photos, I’ve been working on some really interesting projects and been involved in some cool new betas, and had some great family time. So we haven’t disappeared - just working our way through our current “designing our lives” exercises.
Oh and our neighborhood association is having a community garage sale this weekend. Its a lot of work participating but some mad money would be nice and you get to meet a whole range of very interesting people.
