Finally, #logo { display: none !important}
Logos are irrelevant? Death to all logos! Actually a great conversation at SXSW as commented on over at Functioning Form. Of course, the title of the panel discussion, Logos: Why They’re Irrelevant and Can Actually Hurt Your Business not only implies a bit of bias, but I couldn’t help noticing the long column of logos of SXSW sponsors running along side the the SXSW page (wonder if the marketing geek at SXSW who sold those spots was gritting teeth during this one).
Of course that leads to a lot of important other questions, such as:
- “Where will we put the ‘beta’ ribbon?”
- “Does this mean I can finally switch to Moo cards?”
- “Fine. The logo is out. Next question: what font should we use for our cool Web2.0 Name?”
- “Okay. No money for logos. So, how much does that give us to spend on our favicon?”
